" For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. "

Romans 11:29 · NASB ──────────────────────────────────

THE MOST IMPORTANT GIFT

Before the gifts. Before the calling. Before the deployment.

There is salvation.

Everything Irrevocable Gift Ministries produces — every book, every teaching, every resource — rests on a single foundation. Not gifting. Not calling. Not purpose. The foundation is a Person. The Lord Jesus Christ. And the question that matters more than any gift inventory or calling statement is the one Paul raises in Romans 10.

What Romans 10 Says

Romans 10:9-10 states it plainly:

"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

Salvation is not earned through religious performance. It is not inherited through family tradition. It is not achieved through good works, moral living, or marketplace success. It is received — through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through the confession of His lordship, and through the belief that God raised Him from the dead.

Romans 10:13 removes every qualifier: "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Whoever. Not the deserving. Not the religious. Not the gifted. Whoever.

And Romans 10:17 tells us how that faith comes: "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." The same word that stirred a buried gift in a conference room in 2013 is the word that has been saving people since the resurrection. It is living. It is active. And it is available to you right now.

If You Have Never Received Salvation

If you have never confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead — that is the first and most important step. Not toward your calling. Toward your Creator. The gifts matter. The calling matters. But neither can be properly understood or deployed outside of a living relationship with the God who gave them.

You can respond to that right now, wherever you are. No church building required. No clergy present. No formula beyond what Romans 10 already provides.

Pray something like this — and mean it:

Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that You died for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. I confess You as Lord of my life. I receive Your forgiveness and Your gift of eternal life. I surrender my life to You — including the gifts and calling You placed in me before I was born. Lead me. Deploy me. I am Yours.

If you prayed that prayer and meant it — welcome to the family of God. Romans 11:29 now applies to you personally. The gifts and calling of God in your life are irrevocable. And the journey that follows is the greatest adventure you will ever undertake.

Connect With a Local Church

Whether you have just received salvation through reading this page, or you are seeking a closer and deeper walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, one of the most important steps you can take is to connect with a Bible-teaching local church.

We are a resource ministry — not a local church. We produce books and teaching materials designed to help you identify and deploy the gifts God placed in you. But the local church is where you will find consistent biblical teaching, spiritual community, pastoral care, accountability, and the environment in which your gifts can be developed and confirmed among believers who know you.

We encourage you with everything in us — do not try to walk this journey alone. Find a church that preaches the Word of God without apology, that practices baptism and communion, that is led by spiritually accountable leadership, and that gives you a community of believers to grow alongside.

If you do not know where to start, ask God to lead you. He will. He is the same God who sends coworkers with verses into conference rooms — and He is more than capable of leading you through the door of the right local body.

Romans 10:13-14 — For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

The preacher is still preaching. The word is still going out. And the door is still open.
